All Saints Church

Ashdon is a village on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border four miles north-east of the town of Saffron Walden, and All Saints Church has been serving the village community for more than 600 years (please see our history page).

All the family are most welcome at any of our services, which are shown here. Our services are on the second and fourth Sundays with services at 9.00 am, followed by refreshments in the Church Rooms. On the first and third Sundays, there is a service at St Botolphs in the neighbouring village of Hadstock, also at 9.00am. We serve refreshments in the Church Rooms AFTER services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, with a shared breakfast from 8.00am BEFORE our service on the fourth Sunday – all are welcome.

We are delighted to announce that our House for Duty Vicar for Ashdon and Hadstock has been appointed - see full announcement here.    On 2nd September we are delighted to be holding the Licensing of our new Priest in Charge, the Reverend Romey Poston by Bishop of Colchester the Reverend Roger Morris.

Summer at All Saints has been delightful with the return of our successful Open Gardens in June and Open Day on 13 September. 

The building is open daily for private prayer or reflexion and as a place of sanctuary, continuing to be available for the community as it has been for so many years.
