All Saints Church

Ashdon is a village on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border four miles north-east of the town of Saffron Walden, and All Saints Church has been serving the village community for more than 600 years (please see our history page).

All the family are most welcome at any of our services, which are shown here. Our services are on the first, second and fourth Sundays with services at 9.00 am, followed by refreshments in the Church Rooms. On the first and third Sundays, there is a service at St Botolphs in the neighbouring village of Hadstock, also at 9.00am. We serve refreshments in the Church Rooms AFTER services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month, with a shared breakfast from 8.00am BEFORE our service on the first Sunday – all are welcome.

On 8th August we welcomed Pantaloons to All Saints for a production of Hound of the Baskervilles and on September 12th we will be held our September Fair.  On 27 September we will be holding our Harvest Festival celebration which is a community event  - for full details please see our poster. 

In October we will be holding a special pets service at 3pm on 4th October, this is a short family service for pets large and small, please bring your special companion along to celebrate the special bond we have with our animals.   Full details on poster.   Later in October, on the 11th at 5pm we are delighted to welcome Pantaloons back for more hilarity with their take on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.   This performance will be in the church and full details can be found here.

The building is open daily for private prayer or reflexion and as a place of sanctuary, continuing to be available for the community as it has been for so many years.
